We spoke to Black women who started the Target boycott & who sustained it for a yr+. They'll likely never go back.

Teacher Laverne Mickens put it like this: “[Black women] will say if & when it’s over. And I can tell you right now: That will be the 15th of never ever.”

“Fund the police” was Biden’s *applause* line in his first joint address to Congress. It was written to echo LBJ saying “we shall overcome” in his joint address as a lifeline to a movement under attack. I really don’t bring it up enough.

What an important education I just received from our scholar-poet and community builder, Ms.Washington. A thoughtfully researched, vital read about “the consistent, patterned suppression of Black voices whose content carries political consciousness, cultural resistance, and oppositional artistry”.
