Every year I try and post something along these lines. Anyone working on being a comic colorist feel free to reach out. To review work, portfolio, tips or any other queries related I might help with after 9-ish years working for most of the publishers.

The obligatory 2025 look back:
Dad had a health scare at the start, but is now doing well, if slowing down. Had a paid comic gig, alongside a couple of fan comics published (thx @themagicalanim.bsky.social). Major work on the house, a new job and got a kitten! Solid B grade; some wobbles, but good.

What can I say, I just really like @somecallmejohnny.com

Learning from the late, great Nigel Dobbyn, with @arq004sp.bsky.social and myself as students! This was the sign up sheet for some art classes during Summer of Sonic, in maybe 2012.

I've spent the day seeing my parents, hanging out with my kids, playing retro games and eating comfort food.
Sometimes you just need a cosy day, y'know?

An absolutely massive high quality signed art print of official artist Mark Hughes cover for the Knuckles 30th anniversary comic. IT'S SO GOOD UUUUUUUGHHHHHHHAMAZING.

Another big huge deal for me at the Sonic Con was getting to talk to the lovely @thesketchsector.bsky.social in person about why I LOVE HIS ART SO MUCH MY GOD AND why I absolutely don't deserve this giant gallery print he gifted me ;____; LOOK AT IT. This is being framed. I love it so much ughhh.

Please go read this wonderful comic that me and my friends worked really hard on.
It was such a passion project, and deserves everyone's attention.

Coincidentally, just today I recoloured this piece by Elson! Seemed appropriate to share!

The soft, warm glow, the subtle streak of colour impying movement... it all works so well, and has such a nice sense of depth.
Absolutely gorgeous!

The paint job was a little rough, but it's still lovely to see these in big stores and accessible. You wouldn't have seen this kind of stuff back when Prime was released.

I feel like if Bluesky tips beyond the point of redemption and goes full Twitter, that'll be it for me. I won't bother with any new social media platforms, because it's not worth the mental hassle to see the same crap in a different guise.

Always adored Elson's Knuckles. I really think he captures the S3&K sprite, then expanded it to look even cooler.
