🔥 January was the world's warmest on record.

🤯 And yet Labour are backing climate-wrecking airport expansion and more oil & gas.

💚 We need real investment in renewables, home insulation and public transport to bring down bills AND emissions.

We need full implementation of our Climate Change Act.

“Activism and Social Change”—a battle cry, not just a theme. LGBTQ+ warriors have shattered barriers from Stonewall to Stormont. Their courage transformed lives. Act. Attend events. Learn history. Support LGBTQ+ groups. Every action matters. This isn’t about remembering history—it’s about making it.

Happy St Brigid’s Day! Saint, Celtic icon, OG eco-warrior. Her flame wasn’t kept alive alone: it took communities tending it through storms. As habitats shrink and temps rise, we need that same grit. Plant wildness. Fight pollution. Demand better. Progress shouldn’t cost the Earth. 🌱

While Britain faces cost-of-living crisis & climate breakdown, Labour's leadership just greenlit massive airport expansion. They're laughing - at our expense.

Cyclist safety is at risk with the Dept for Infrastructure’s 6 month trial allowing more taxis in Belfast’s bus & cycle lanes. @briansmyth99.bsky.social : “Cycling in this city is dangerous at the best of times; any extension heightens this.”

Our plan to deliver 2,500 energy-efficient social homes yearly tackles this crisis head-on. It’s time for urgent action to ensure everyone has a safe place to call home.

Greens clear on this, DfI's car brained attitude of letting private hire taxis into bus lanes & lack of cycling infrastructure is the wrong approach, massive increase of active travel spending needed

Considering the adoption of far right language by some in politics, the media and the promotion of facism by the algorithmic overloads in Silicon Valley, it’s a wonder that things aren’t worse.
There is a lot to do to turn the ship around & counter the narrative that newcomers are the problem.

"To be clear, our position is that clinical and health care is best determined by doctors and clinicians - not politicians - and needs to be informed by the clinical and scientific evidence," the spokesperson added.

In August, a Sinn Fein spokesperson said decisions around puberty blockers should be left to medical professionals, not politicians.

Sinn Fein & Alliance ministers then implement a ban without publishing any evidence, so what has changed?

Where are the allies within those parties to call this out?

Today is Human Rights Day, and here we have the Executive parties letting a vulnerable minority, attacked endlessly by the right wing, down - in such a disappointing way.

I do not have trans family but this, for me, is about bodily autonomy and is a red line when in the voting booth.
