Eeeeeee! I am soooo looking forward to this. I fell in love with the web comic when I first came across it years ago. To see it as an animated show is gonna be awesome.

For the record, I’m a geographer with some autistic tendencies like an absolute fixation on the filming locations of tv and movies (some of which I have never seen but I still find it a relaxing diversion to map them out)

3 am for us and they are not young. They are older and heavier. The only real exercise they seem to get is jumping on or off us while we try to sleep. The rest of the time they just give us weird looks if we ask them to move. 🙄

Right now that’s what I am doing, but some of these people are all over the place. They can’t even agree on one font family despite telling them to use the default MS Word styles. 🙄
I’d just like to have one or two guides to point to, to at least get us all working in the same general direction.

Struck and white was my go to in college if the class did not specify a required style. But after diving through the rabbit holes I was not sure if there were better options for this particular use case.

With that… any of my followers do documentation for their job; audience ranging from new intern or administrator to technical or analyst roll? I am looking for advice on a good style guide I can share with my staff, because I’m not writing my own. 😬

I’ve had a few do this over the years. We could never tie down a good reason why. We tried changing all sorts of things. In the end we just figured one did it for spite, one may have been marking where another cat liked to lay (being a jerk) and so on.

Still love the little buggers but come on! 😼😩

Woot! Three wins for me tonight. First mom discharged from the hospital, then Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cubs in game 1 of the series, and then St Louis Blues beat the Blackhawks in their final preseason game.

That’s normal for most new things though. Give it some more time. It’ll get better with practice.

The sun may be setting sooner, but this evening is certainly brighter for me than any time in the last 2 months. After over 2 months in a hospital in Chicago (including 3+ tense weeks in ICU) my mom has been moved to a local nursing home geared for PT, so she can go home again.
Maybe I can sleep now
