But I must admit — this game gives me a burst of inspiration. Some old stories about my previous main characters, some love for the lore, and some soul from DATV itself mix into a warm feeling of nostalgia. Dragon Age still feels like home, even after all these hard times.
I really like the story of my Rook. A young elf from the Veil Jumpers, full of curiosity and emotions, who almost broke under the weight of responsibility. Unfortunately, this story has mostly only existed in my head, not in the game. Sadly, I don’t feel a strong enough connection with the party.
DATV has mostly become a difficult relationship for me this year. Sometimes it make me laugh or feel something deep, but I still cannot find the right word to describe the rest of my feelings. In the artbook, I see so many beautiful ideas and concepts, but they didn’t make it into the final product.
It was a whole month of hyperfixation, and I’m still not over it.
Arcane is a magnificent show. Not flawless (I still feel like I need much more information about all the characters’ pasts and futures, but I understand why we can’t have it all)...
