25.03.2025 03:46 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s also where I fell in love with #Chicago and have such fond memories of my life there.
The RML did amazing things to bring together communities. We provided our members with valuable instruction & funding for their projects. This is a big loss to the library world and it makes me sad.
I’m especially sad for the people who lost their jobs as of today.
People, the amount of money spent on the RML program is peanuts. This is about censorship and control.
I started my career as a #medlib #medicallibrarian in a regional medical library at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2008. I give thanks to @dalep.bsky.social for encouraging me to apply for the position as technology coordinator for the Great Lakes Region.
