I enjoyed exploring Boston yesterday, especially the relevant (unnervingly so) exhibit 'Revolution: 250 years of Art and Activism in Boston' in the Public Library. Definitely doesn't pull any punches. The library itself (old & new) is one of the most impressive public spaces I've visited. #aarsbl25

Wonderful to catch up with friends. As for sessions, I spent most of my time with the Acts and EFM crew; papers were of high quality. Grateful for the discussion and feedback my presentations generated. Another highlight was the panel discussion about P. Sloan's new book.

Really enjoyed myself at #aarsbl25 this year. It didn't start terribly well when I was detained in the airport for a few hours (an error -- not mine!), but Boston more than made up for it. A privilege to present in the Acts and the Exile (Forced Migrations) in Biblical Literature Sections.

As discussed at the AGM and in Michelle's recent email, we're hoping to launch the first instalment of the BNTS newsletter in the new year.

What a fantastic weekend we had celebrating our fifth annual New College Festival of Books and Beliefs! 📚🍂

We had a fabulous turnout for our exciting programme of speakers. It was so lovely to see everyone there as we explored the relationship between literature & belief 😊

A tile with well-preserved surface impressions: three distinct outline of shoes with hobnail patterns in the center, a animal paw prints nearby, and a rectangular maker's stamp with worn lettering and an imprint of a foot. And finger lines. The tile surface shows additional small impressions and chips.

Like a time capsule: a #Roman tile marked with #finger lines, hobnail #shoe prints, #dog's paw prints, and a #stamp of the LEG(io) XIIII G(emina). Tiles with imprints are very common, since tiles were laid out to dry in the open air ahead of firing, where...🧵1/2
