I would assume because when situations are desperate and the opposition is this blaringly awful, people are actually willing to look past (increasingly foolish) mistakes like that. The guy has a year to prove his intentions.

Looking at my old Skylanders and comparing them to my Amiibos, the build quality is maybe a $5 improvement? Maybe $10 if you stretch it? Not a great difference when the subject is a decade newer and quadruple the price.

I get these are much bigger and can swap, but $50 is still utterly insane.

Just remember that in 2013, Skylanders had almost the exact same gimmick where characters could split in half and you could mix/match them however you please. They were also characters you actually played as in-game, not just figures that offer a neat bonus.

I think it was absolutely stupid to have that symbol on your body for so long without knowing it’s history. That being said, I appreciate the quick turnaround. I want to support you next year, so you better work your ass off and EARN our votes. Make this situation a distant memory.

God I cannot stand how “with me or against me” people are. I can both support Platner’s current beliefs AND criticize his past actions. I want to support him but he needs to earn that, that’s how being a public figure is supposed to work! The lack of nuance is driving me up a wall.

IDK if you have watched or read Invincible, but it isn’t “depressing”. It’s a superhero show that just so happens to have blood and gore. It’s not The Boys, it’s not just edge for the sake of it.

That’s just how money talks. IDW, while great especially in the later years, was never a super hot seller. Meanwhile Skybound exploded onto the scene and has stayed in the top 10 comics sold nearly every month in the last two years. So it isn’t surprising they wanna strike while the iron’s hot.
