Oh, yes, I understand now, sorry! it was the 'running time' that threw me 😅. I give it a few months until the running time is put back in, or routes are shortened (but not the 600 I took yesterday, that was handy to get from our furthest away office back to OXP, even when stuck in Summertown!)

Ah, that makes sense, didn’t realise there were roadworks there. Though most services in the evenings are anywhere between 30-60mins+ late these days.

Another evening, another jam. This time, from Oxford City along the Banbury Road.

We were on time from Cowley Lidl up until here.

Is anyone at the council seeing this?

Congratulations! I took one on Saturday from Oxford to Rugby, was unable to reserve a seat and 1st class wasn’t available on Seatfrog on the journey.

Needless to say, 1hr 30mins cramped in the vestibule.

Feel like we’ve forgotten about the Congestion Charge on Cherwell Drive tonight.

And please, people who get on the bus… you’ve had plenty of time to wait to get your pass or money ready. There’s no excuse not to be prepared, you’re just delaying us all with the faff!

With new services coming through from Sunday, new numbers appear on the bus stop.

Shame no consideration went into cleaning the stop so the rest of the service numbers and destinations could be read easily... this is one of many, many stops that just need a clean.

First impressions count.

Listened to a podcast earlier, where the first 3:54 minutes were just ads and sponsorship reads.

If it wasn’t for the fact I was interested in the content, I’d have switched off.

I counted 7 buses at the main entrance to the JR Hospital just now. Some at their appropriate stop, but many having to just find a space to park and drop off.

While it’s good to see services increase, the infrastructure both here and at the railway station, needs improving.

Seems like my concerns were right... the displaced traffic from Oxford's congestion charge has moved onto other routes, so the buses that pass through the charging points, but also serve roads cars are displaced too, are extremely delayed.

Nearly an hour late on this 700 and nowhere near home!

Feels like those who made the decision only looked at a spreadsheet, rather than took a trip to see what it would be like in reality…

Whoever takes on the job next has a huge task on their hand to turn the ship on trust and transparency. But a great opportunity to pause, refresh and regain that trust and transparency with audiences.

Fingers x’d everyone has got the P&R in. I hear Redbridge was full the other day, but don’t know about the rest.

People forget that the bus has to go through other parts of the city without a charge before it reaches a congestion charge area. Example, the 700… i dread to see how further delayed that gets even with its travel through the congestion charge zones.

But time will tell!

So I did something today that i‘ve thought about doing for the last few months, but have always put off.

I joined the gym, and had the best time 💪 .

Hoping this is something I can keep up regularly to become healthier both physically and mentally.

If it ever does come back, it’ll likely be good promo for iPlayer, as everyone will need to catch up with the previous series to get up to speed.

Though we were meant to see a new series a few years ago, so I don’t hold out much hope.

It’ll be interesting to see if they have Clear Channel branding, as they were recently acquired by Bauer Media (who also operate radio & magazines etc.). Bauer now compete with Global in the Out of Home (OOH) advertising space.

I was held up in Chipping Norton this afternoon as the Metropolitan Police Special Escort Group led JD Vance through the town.

That’s insane! No wonder the place gets congested. They oughta run every other service to the railway station and terminate others in the city. I’d imagine you’d not have long to wait along the route if the station was your destination.

Alas, lost my place in a long queue at Greggs at lunch, because I was the only willing to help someone with the door.

Good to know it’s not just me! I wasn’t aware there had been an application and it was turned down. Fingers x’d another comes in soon!

Anyone else in #Oxford find that phone signal has got worse in the city centre? I literally end up with either no signal or in SOS mode down St Aldates, Magdalen Street and part of Cornmarket Street.

New timelines, new programmes and a new proposal for some of our marketing & communications work are all the order of work this week.
