Like blockages can kill a cat in 1-2 days. He could have died this week and I’m like FREAKING out now. I’m just so happy he’s feeling a little better and isn’t power pissing and seems to just be more lively and happier

I did some research to help Simon more and ended up distressing myself and I think I’m having a delayed emotional reaction and I’m trying to not sob at work because I could have lost him on Monday. Hell, if he didn’t pee yesterday? It could have been so much worse

Simon is starting to get better. This morning he could lift his tail and has been swapped to a urinary care diet. He’s peed and pooped which is fantastic. He also seems more lively. Thank you to those who have donated, and to those that are able to! I means a lot to us 💖

Either way…Louis is getting some cuddle time because I feel bad that Simon has been getting so much attention (not that I can help it. He literally scared me thinking he broke his tail and it ended up being kinda worse)

Louis has been so angry that Simon smells different so I had to rub Simon with a towel and then rub Louis with it, plus buy feliway to calm him down. All because I swear he either 1) hates that Simon appears weak/hates any show of sickness or 2) believes I took him away and returned with a new cat

I hate asking for help, but if anyone would like to or can, I’d be forever grateful. Simon has been my emotional support for 13 years now and to see him in pain and lethargic when he’s usually so lively is breaking my heart.

some fantastic news! Simon has officially peed on his own! He does not have to go back to the Vet to have his bladder squeezed again!

and his bloodwork came back. He's all clear with some crystals in his urine, so thats a dietary change, and he isnt diabetic!

I’m hoping so too Dx Jasper is on the phone with them now because we managed to get him to drink water and pee, but I reaaallly hope this is just like a UTI thing and not a forever being in bad shape thing 😭

Vet called and they want him back in 🥺 hopefully his test results are back in by the time we go
