I never cared for the outside of the Cathedral of Christ the Light, but the interior (including crypt) is an impressive post-modernist space. No matter how bad the finances of the Diocese of Oakland, I can't anticipate the Church selling their primary building in the region.

Regarding Tori, did you have a faery phase in school? Or was that not a universal Tori experience?

What kind of goth were you? I never read it, not being a goth, but Sandman was everywhere in the 90s.
