Oh, I don't mean specifically because of Aries. I mean because MLW is such a non-entity and the idea that a promotion is big as CMLL has a partnership with them that's comparable to the AEW partnership is completely ridiculous.

The weirdness of the relationship with cmll is part of what makes it stand out to me. They must be spending a lot of that settlement money on that partnership.

He started wrestling again in MLW and he did a shot in CMLL.

I'm not surprised Austin Aries is allegedly still great at pro wrestling, but it's a bit disturbing that this is happening when all of the terrible things we know about him doing are things we know about because he admitted to them and/or was brazen enough to do them in front of cameras/witnesses.

I also saw an episode where the answer to a rhyming puzzle about ice cream was intended as Dreyer's, but one contestant answered "Breyer's" and was ruled wrong. Which seemed like total bullshit to me when Breyer's is just as legitimate a brand as the name that Edy's uses west of the Rockies.

If there's one piece of that kind of trivia that's remotely general knowledge, it's that the same mayonnaise is branded as Hellman's east of the Rocky Mountains and Best Foods to the west. And usually, on Supermarket Sweep, it was Best Foods. But not for this one inflatable bonus I guess?

When I watch old Supermarket Sweep episodes, it's very noticeable how much they used regional brands from the western states that might be unfamiliar to non-local contestants.

But this morning? I saw eps close together that mentioned both Best Foods AND Hellman's mayonnaise and now I'm SO confused.

Even before that, their descriptions of their friendship were offbeat enough and stilted enough to be a little eyebrow raising, but that "baby" was so obvious that it was the exact kind of thing that the SNL sketch was calling out.
