So how do people discover you - Honestly, go through twitch and find streams and communities that YOU really enjoy. Become part of those communities, bc YOU enjoy the vibes and people - not bc you want something out of it. Stay authentic.

And sure, most communities have a "share other streams/content" channel in their discord, but don't just join to just post 'hey i'm live' and that's it. That counts as promo spam, and just feels bleh. If that's all you're contributing to the community, please just don't.

Drops can be a great way to increase discoverability, most events are open to all! Stream in a category that is not super full or super empty - What makes YOU stand out? For sure not being on the bottom of the category list. Why should people click on YOUR stream? Thumbnail, stream title, etc!

Make sure to pay attention to chat, greet people I personally think it's a bad look to go into other streamers' chats and talk about how "i'm live too". It counts as self-promo, no matter how you word it.
It's difficult for sure to be discovered, but this ain't it chief.

A basic twitch guideline is, to focus on your own stream while you're live. Play a game you either feel comfy with and know a bunch about, or a brand new one - most importantly something you're having fun with. Fun spreads! Most important thing; Give it time, have no expectations.
