For people who think book banning isn't a big deal because even if they're not available in libraries and schools, you can still buy them--this is an elitist argument. Most kids ONLY have access to books from their library. Libraries ensure info access for all. Libraries are vital in democracies.

Anyway, the imposter syndrome is real, y'all.

Really struggling with writing right now. I have 8 completed, critiqued, edited, rewritten (multiple times) manuscripts - but can't seem to get any traction with them. Has anyone found anything that's really helped them move forward? I have lots of story starts, too - ideas are not the problem.

I’m sad to see that Lectorum is closing. For a long time it was the #1 place to get Spanish-language books for the library. I visited their booth at ALA this summer and they recently launched a wonderful children’s stories database called MakeMake. I guess @scholastic will continue that? I hope?

I was 12. We weren’t supposed to watch it but a babysitter let us. I very much remember scenes of things turning to dust.
