…It’s so hard to want to create or maintain connections with the parents I know voted against the human rights of my family, friend, and myself to a degree.
This is not the world we were taught to uphold and build in my childhood. I’ll continue to tell those more at risk I am a safe haven. 🫶🏼
I will not hold out any hope or optimism about the next four years. I’m scared for our country and the future for our kids (misinformation culture.)
I’m insulating myself in my very red state. Making a difference in my county/state is unrealistic.

I met him as a puppy, on a working ranch while stationed in the AF. He was going to be my running buddy and companion. And he was. An intelligent border collie, but mostly an emotionally intelligent friend.

Any other parents have looming dread over their kids education in the deep south after Dept of Edu implodes next year?
Looking at legit options for homeschool/private schooling for secular or non-dogmatic institutions for my kids. I'll even aggressively teach them ALL 'the bible' for homeschool $.
