It’s literally the opposite. LITERALLY.

Trans women are told, over and over again, that they’re effeminate gay boys. Told for years or decades.

And of course, the conservative/fascist playbook is to flip that back on a minority within a minority

03.03.2026 21:48 β€” πŸ‘ 85    πŸ” 8    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Ask about the β€˜trans prime directive’, odds are they’ll know exactly what you’re talking about

03.03.2026 21:46 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This myth that trans folks tell cis gay ppl β€˜you’re transβ€™πŸ˜«

Trans ppl come out then ask their trans friends β€˜why didn’t you tell me!’ and they say β€˜you needed to work it out for yourself’.

Convincing ppl they’re trans is just a thing we DON’T DO. A myth entirely based in transphobia.

In Defense of Effeminate Boys

No one before Ben has ever considered that trans women might actually be effeminate gay boys. No one has ever suggested such a thing to us, repeatedly, in a bid to prevent us from transitioning, or developed entire typologies around the idea, or reinforced it in multiple academic fields!

(Coprolalia, tics involving obscenities, is in a minority of cases. But of course it’s one of the most visible to society)

Tourette’s very rarely involves slurs or swearing. Vast majority is vocal sounds, breathing and motor tics

I get why frozen yogurt shops shut down during the pandemic. But why did they stop shipping it to grocery stores? It's a ploy by Big Ice Cream to make me Buy Bigger Pants

Ok so it’s time for a phone upgrade. I’m on an iphone 12.

The 17e looks really good, or I could get a 15 the same colour.

17e doesn’t have the dynamic island thing, is it worth it as a feature?

Nancy by Ernie Bushmiller.

First panel, Nancy talking to a logger sawing a tree and pointing to a carved piece of trunk.

Nancy: Can I have that piece? My boy friend carved it.
Logger: Sure.

Second panel, Nancy is watching the log burn in the fire place.
Nancy: I'm mad at him.

Every once in awhile I think about this Nancy comic and it makes me laugh every single time. Absolute perfection.

Did you know that the bees that need saving are NOT honeybees?

Honeybees are the dairy cows of bees. People brought them over from Europe to make us honey.

The problem with honeybees, esp in resource-limited ecosystems (like hey! cities!) is that they compete with our native bees for food.
