You have to redo it all from the first biome I think as well. So I'm not sure if it's exactly like the game but it matches typical roguelite gameplay. Plenty of enemies to beat up on the way and some treasures.

The skills you keep for future runs. They are picked from the stacks of 3 types of skills (survival, tactics & brutality), but you pick them in order, always from the bottom of the stack. I assume because you unlock stronger skills eventually the more cells you spend.

I did not sadly. But basically, if I understood all correctly, there are certain rewards that you can keep if you do finish a full biome. Otherwise, you get to keep all cells when you die to use immediately on new skills (2 cells each) or throw in a well (1 each).

Yeah, there's actually an updated PDF version on BGG from this month, which didn't answer all our questions, but it's a bit better. But there's also a FAQ on BGG that helps out.

1st run of Dead Cells! We did terrible tbh, but it took a while to figure out all the rules; they could have been written a bit better. The roguelite aspect of the game seems well done though, looking forward to try out more runs in the future.

Yeah, it was my 3rd attempt I think at doing a full playthrough, because of the grind. I finally did it, but I didn't finish all the DLCs. I was disappointed by the ending though, I was hoping for more backstory.

What did you think of Travellers Rest? I was on the fence to get it.

We played Parks for the 1st time (French version). Beautiful game, simple rules with great iconography, components are high quality. We enjoyed it a lot. SO won with just 1 point over!

Indy Jones especially looks really quite good! I am very impressed. Though I'll probably wait for a good deal next year, my backlog is enormous enough as it is. I still need to get back into BG3 one day...

#SteamReplay So many farm sims this year. 😆 My "Playtime by Month" graph drops significantly from Sept to now due to home repairs. 😭 But I've also been playing Mario & Luigi: Brothership on Switch as of late.

SO and I have had very little time to play anything (video or board), due to working on house repairs in the past few months. We're making a short list of games to play, shows, etc. to enjoy for our holiday vacation! I am so ready for it!

Grant Lyon, one of the two designers, also has a YT channel that I've been following for a while in which he presents the BG releases of the month, explains briefly how they play, etc. It's a lot of research and he makes no money. www.youtube.com/@GrantLyon So I was quite glad to meet him!

Home safe! PAX U was really wonderful and special and VERY needed this year. I didn't take many pictures but I got the one that matters.

I heard that PAX is at the same time as BGG Con for 2025. I haven't been to either, but I'm sad it's at the same time. I feel like a lot of people go to both and now they'll have to prioritize what a better business choice will be versus just wanting to play some games.

Home safe and sound; we quickly petted the cats and checked that they're ok, took showers and crashed hard in bed. 😄

Yes, thank you! We drove through a pretty bad snowstorm during the last 3h of the trip, it was rough, but we made it safely home, whew.

Every PAX Unplugged, I feel like I only got the experience like 3% of it.

On the way back home! A good 8h-9h drive + probably a few stops. I am super exhausted honestly, I didn't get good sleep sadly, but we have a nice haul in the trunk that I look forward to open at home.
