Yup never understood why devs went away from it. Some games just get it the models aren't close up it wouldn't make sense. But others I think they should have.

Have you ever played legend of legaia? Everything equip outside of accessories is shown on your character in combat. It's a cool feature i wish more games would use.

First I remember was phantasy star 2. I was at a friend's house, saw his brother playing it and just sat there fascinated. Been hooked on jrpgs ever since. My 7year old mind was blown.

Oh summer child, I'd suggest starting with 1 on thr switch shop. 2-4 are on the Sega collection.

Some of the best characters especially if you are looking for badass women in gaming. Won't find better then in phantasy star ESPECIALLY in 4. Alys was my childhood gaming crush.

Check phantasy star 4. It opens pretty quickly with "something major is amiss".

I love those old sim games. You ever played Sim Ant or Sim Earth? The SNES was a treasure trove of weird sim games.

This is such a fun quirky game. I played it a TON as a kid. Found a copy a few months ago for like $8 at a local game store and picked it up. Forgot how to control it but it's still a ton of fun. I miss when games had these wonky gimmicks

Both my boys passed their blue belt test in Karate tonight.
There's something really cool and a unique sense of pride in watching them do this.

Best part is my oldest nearly failed, got some harsh feedback and just said "that's fair thank you". Great maturity for an 11 y/o

My son saw #DragonQuest3 arrived and he's so excited. This is actually his first ever Dragon Quest game. He's played builders, and loves the music/character design and charm but he's never played any of the games. This is going to be a fun weekend :)

Finally here! Good timing as the boy gets home from school any minute now.

Went to a retro game store last weekend with my son. He bought a Yugio fire red for gameboy advance. Get home and it's a rom where someone pallet swapped yugio into a pokemon game. So dumb but he's loving it. Gotta love those little gamer moments.

My 11 y/o son came downstairs this morning absolutely beaming.

"Dad DQ3 comes out tomorrow. It's about time to get my slime on!"

Safe to say I know what his most anticipated game for the year is.

Lost Vikings deserves more love. Blizzard wasted such a great series. How many games will break the 4th wall to insult the player for sucking at a level? Their quest in OG World of Warcraft was hilarious.

I've decided my favorite thing about doing youtube stuff with my son, besides having an excuse to game with him, is that the videos give permanent record of the sweet little voices of my children. As a dad these days go by so fast and I love that I'll have those reminders forever.

Just found out the Canadian Tenors are doing a Christmas show like 20minutes from my house next month. Christmas is always hard for me since my mom died but if I have to listen to Christmas music it may as well be insanely good music.
