Great to be on campus for O-Week at #Swinburne, #UTS & #USyd ๐
We spent the week listening to students - what theyโre excited for & what feels overwhelming.
Those insights are shaping OurHerd@Uni: a free digital hub with real student stories, campus support directories & wellbeing tools.

Sometimes weโre told we should feel one thing at a time, but life doesnโt work like that.
You can be healing & still hurting. Proud & still uncertain. Motivated & also exhausted. Different feelings can exist at the same time.๐

We asked students, what feels heavy about being a young person right now? ๐
Hearing these voices reminds us that a lot of young people are doing their best to hold a lot at once.
If this resonates with you, youโre not alone. ๐

Itโs easy to scroll & feel like everyone else is โgoodโ all the timeโฆ but the truth is life feels heavy sometimes & thatโs okay.
Being honest about how you feel is the first step to looking after yourself. Thereโs no pressure to be โgoodโ all the time. Your feelings are valid exactly as they are ๐ซถ

Struggling doesnโt mean youโve failed, feeling deeply doesnโt make you โtoo much,โ & healing rarely happens in a straight line.
The more we talk about mental health openly, the more we can break stigma, support each other & create spaces where people feel heard & understood ๐ง
Sometimes, we may hear things from others, or assume things about mental health that arenโt true. It can be easy to get caught up in negative thoughts, but itโs important to remember that our mental health is complex and often changing, and thatโs completely normal ๐
When everything feels a bit messy, small acts of care can really shift your day. Try whatever feels doable right now for you & if things feel heavy, reaching out isnโt weakness - itโs strength. ๐
Repost or save this for when you feel like a gentle reset ๐

Rest isnโt just sleep - itโs how you recharge your mind, body & soul ๐ค
