We're grateful to @johnswinney.bsky.social for a frank & productive discussion ahead of the budget with our CEO @margl24.bsky.social about the need for more investment in whole family support to address child poverty & the transformative effect for children of good, community based support.

A huge number of children and young people are reaching out looking for support with their mental health. But systems are struggling to help them.

We need more early, community based family support to get alongside children and families, offer help quickly and stop things getting worse.

We see far too many children across the country that do not have access to the basics – a home, a bed, food on the table and an education. Children's rights need to be at the forefront of the First Minister's budget.
