Reminds me of the observation that certain parts of queer community see trans women as just Super Gay Men and you just plainly see that reflected here. The obvious reality and actual existence of trans women who are stone butches literally doesn't occur to them

That's one of the real signifiers of malicious intent, it's identical to how deliberate transphobic caricatures are made: men are smooth and perfect form but the trans woman is lumbering, ogre-like and covered in facial and body hair, as if they alone are incapable of shaving

it's so damn gross to have everyone saying "this is a hateful offensive caricature of us" and only get the response "I'm sorry I didn't realize this would make people dysphoric" as if the problem is that it's an accurate portrayal that just makes us feel bad and not an offensive caricature

Here's a tip for the edited cover and any future covers/art involving trans women you may be involved with, this is the skeleton key to making good and respectful depictions of us:

We look like women.

So it often doesn't come across as a mistake or mere ignorance, it comes across as "this is what we imagine you weirdos look like"

Not to mention the sheer ridiculous inaccuracy of this even by pre/early transition standards. Like everyone else said, no one who knows trans women would make this

The thing is, it's not just about dysphoria, it's the fact that it's indistinguishable from a deliberately offensive caricature intended to mock us, and for some reason this happens routinely by supposedly well meaning people rather than just being very rare mistakes of ignorance

The sheer terror that people with Stockholm syndrome for windows have for the terminal is insane. It's not something you even have to use often and all it does is give you the means to understand and fix so many things

noticing a weird double standard a lot of people have where something going wrong on windows is to be expected but a much milder and easier to solve thing going wrong on linux is proof that it's completely unreasonable for anyone to suggest that they use it as an alternative to windows
