I don’t like horror movies but she saved ‘Weapons.’ Wouldn’t have been a movie without her.

Probably the best telling of 'Frankenstein,' but I hate to say this, but I think Guillermo del Toro peaked with the Blade sequel in 2002. 'Marty Supreme' was enjoyable, but I feel it was overhyped (to me) with how many love Safdie and I didnt see genius.

I enjoyed 'The Secret Agent,' takes a bit to get going then finishes good. 'F1' was a bit paint by the numbers, typical Brad Pitt following his real life, gets the girl then has to immediately leave for reasons.

they're gonna spend $50B re-opening the Strait of Hormuz over the next 6 months and then act like it's this huge victory when they only thing they accomplished was restoring the pre-war status quo

is there any shot (say one in a million) that this could be a sequel to his ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’? Because why he go back to this genre, the cerebral alien encounter movie, when he made the masterpiece that no one can match?

something hooked Spielberg enough to go back to this genre. But I would like to know what happened to Richard Dreyfuss’ Roy Neary character.

But doing an “alien” encounter movie right now is so hard wow us with what Nolan did with ‘Interstellar’ (I know much discussion on this one, Nolan’s best) or Villeneuve’s ‘Arrival’ or Cameron’s ‘The Abyss’ or even Darabont’s ‘The Mist’, just to name a few.

Disclosure Day | Official Trailer YouTube video by Universal Pictures

I know I am essentially wanting this to happen (sort of fan fiction), but wouldn’t it be awesome if Spielberg’s ‘Disclosure Day’ (which has a new trailer today) was a sequel to ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind? the ship coming out of the atmosphere gives some vibes:

This isn't even true. We got no munitions left, and we're getting outfoxed by a country with a miniscule defense budget compared to ours because we're stupid. Stupidity is what makes us special.

A library photo of the USS Nimitz in the Gulf sailing through blue colored seas

Trump says Iran’s military and navy has been eliminated, its missiles destroyed, there are no mines and there is “virtually nothing left to hit”.

Yet there isn’t a single US naval vessel within 500 MILES of Iran…

its almost if, after so many decades of experts saying 'hey dont go to war with Iran, it will get ugly', were actually right. the attack on that school, is not going away. who takes the blame for that?

The US intelligence community long ago gamed out all the risks surrounding a conflict with Iran, including the possibility Iran would close the Straits of Hormuz.
If the Trump administration and Hegseth are surprised now, it's because they've never listened to, and sidelined, the experts.

Trump to New York Magazine in 2002:

New Pentagon budget reports show Pete Hegseth spent $93 billion in one month, making it the highest monthly expense since 2008.

This budget report included spending $2 million on Alaskan King Crab.
