In this week's Lent session, Bishop Anderson Jeremiah helped us explore the issue of justice and becoming a just church. In a current context of anxiety, anger and disorientation, he presented the image of a just church as a beloved community with dignity, freedom and liberation for all in Christ

In our 10.30 am all-age Eucharist we will be giving thanks for the mothering love of the church and of God, as well as the love we receive from others, whoever they may be.
Mothering Sunday remains a reminder that we are shaped by communities of love, and that the Church is called to embody the generous, sheltering, life giving love of God.
Cathedrals are often referred to as Mother Churches and we want to encourage you to join us for worship on Mothering Sunday.
Its earliest meaning is tied not to family life, but to the Church as mother - the place where Christians receive their spiritual identity, formation and guidance. Traditionally servants would be given the day off work and would go back to worship in their Mother Church and to visit their family.
This coming Sunday, 15 March, is Mothering Sunday. It's a day that has deep roots in the life of the Church long before it became associated with the modern celebration of mothers and motherhood...
Our Pram Service is at 10.15 am on select Fridays and lasts for about 10 minutes. We share a short Bible story, a song and a simple prayer. Join us for our next short service on Friday 13 March, which will move from the Lady Chapel to the Nave Sanctuary.
The worship of the Cathedral is shaped by the women who lead and sing here: choristers, Vicars Choral, Director of Music, Servers, Wardens, Canons and Bishop. On #InternationalWomensDay we celebrate all the women whose voices make St Edmundsbury a place of welcome, worship and song.
In March there will be three Sunday afternoon quarter peal attempts by the Norman Tower Bellringers, on 8 and 15 March and for the Justices Service on 22 March.
There will also be a full peal attempt by a local band and friends on Saturday 14 March starting at around 10.00 am.
Yesterday evening we held an Evensong service to mark the receipt of the Bury Psalter. Pictured with Bishop Joanne and Dean Joe is Alan Jary, Comptroller of the King Edward VI Grammar School Foundation Trust, who gifted the Psalter to us at the Cathedral. You can see the Psalter in the Treasury.
In the second of our Lent sessions Dr Nick Spencer explored the relationship between church and science in the age of technological advancements. Rooted in a vision of human fullness being characterised by love, we considered how science might transform us more into people God created us to be.
