- De man in de donkerblauwe jas - Een vrouw zittend op een bank. Benen over elkaar geslagen. Een oplichtende laptop die het enige licht in de kamer lijkt te geven. Een half gesloten gordijnen. Een klok aan de muur, het is al laat. Door het raam is buiten een tweede persoon zichtbaar. Onherkenbaar, zijn gezicht is afgewend. Zijn we getuige zijn van een moment tussen verbinding en afzondering? Deze kleine grafiet tekening uit 2012 is te zien bij Musiom

In recent months, I have hardly been able to work on my art. Painting or drawing, I just can't bring myself to do it. My mind just wasn't in it, too busy with other things. Since last week, I have picked up my brushes again and am trying to get back into it.

De foto toont een schilderij getiteld "American Dream" van Peter van Oostzanen. Het is een hyperrealistisch werk met een oude, roestige rode auto die verlaten in een weelderig groen, glooiend landschap staat. De auto, een klassiek Amerikaans model, is deels overwoekerd door het gras en de motorkap is open of ontbreekt, wat een gevoel van verval en verwaarlozing oproept. De lucht is helderblauw met nauwelijks wolken, wat een contrast vormt met de verweerde staat van de auto. Het geheel straalt een melancholische sfeer uit.
