We now strongly urge the government to stand by their pledge to undertake genuine and meaningful dialogue with disabled people on the review of PIP, where reform is centred on the rights and dignity that all disabled people deserve.

Today got the pleasure of being at the retrial lunch for George a colleague who has worked for 46 years in children and family social work in @rencouncil.bsky.social - he’s a true giant of our profession
As the Scottish FA confirms the referee and VAR for the league cup final I’m just confirming that I didn’t have inside information I just know how the SFA work.
One of the highlights was hearing feedback from the children. The one I loved most was one child when asked what they don’t like about foster care said “the candelabra in the dining room” - made me laugh 😆
Yesterday I spent the day reviewing foster carers including views from children on their care. It was an uplifting experience. Our #FosterCarers are incredible thanks for what you do for our children.❤️

We need a coordinated approach to ensure the contribution of social work is recognised. If Scotland wants a socially just country then the Government needs to support the #SocialWork profession. Time for positive action from the Scottish Government in this area.
