One asked “Are they supportive?” about senior government officials. Exum responded: “Big time. Everyone has been including Chief Bovino, Chief Banks, Sec Noem and El Jefe himself … according to Bovino.” Who do you think El Jefe is?

I've been updating this piece about the Martinez shooting in Chicago, which previewed the Minnesota killings. The organizational culture is completely broken in ICE/CBP. The shooter was told everyone at the senior levels of the Trump admin supported him.

Department of Homeland Security officials said the driver, Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, hit and dragged one of the officers a significant distance with his car as he tried to flee the scene and had “seriously injured” the officer, who shot and killed him in self-defense. Local officials and immigrant advocates say the death of Mr. Villegas-Gonzalez, a Mexican immigrant, was unwarranted and reflects a dangerous escalation of arrest tactics amid an aggressive federal operation in the Chicago area. Mr. Villegas-Gonzalez appeared to be unarmed and officials have not said that he had any weapons or a criminal record beyond traffic offenses. Videos from the scene and its aftermath call into question two aspects of the D.H.S. description of events: Mr. Villegas-Gonzalez is not shown hitting either officer with his car; and, in the aftermath, one of the officers says his own injuries are “nothing major.”

The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

Vote as if your life depends on it. It may.

They will be sadly disappointed, as all who put their faith in the T regime always are.

And the sham of passing on the reins of government to a more compliant dictator rather than to the guy who actually won the election. How in character.

But the facility got built, and will have the militarization of police effects they predicted. Is this a win or a los?
