Political neutrality is a fundamentally political stance, and a fundamentally conservative one, because it means you think nothing about the sociopolitical environment in which you exist needs to be interrogated, challenged, or changed.
Cinema, like all art, is inherently political. Not choosing a side might seem apolitical, but it’s not. It’s just cowardly. Stand by the fans being hurt by the current administration, and your talent that is vocal about it, rather than turning a blind eye
