Democrats always thought their opponent was Republicans. Their actual opponent the last 50 years has been deep-pocketed republicans and libertarians. If you want them out of politics you have to hit them in their pocketbooks.

I’m excited for No kings this weekend. I feel like we need a very public rebuke that our cities will not be occupied, the tariffs are illegal, ICE is a goon squad, the president is breaking the law, the wealthy have taken over our government.

Donald Trump has waged war on farmers. I don’t understand why but it’s clear he has: 1. Destroy their labor market, 2. Turn other countries away so they purchase from other countries, 3. Stop your own federal programs for buying farm goods and exporting them overseas or selling them in schools.

Trump gave $20B to Argentina but stole that money from US AID to stop feeding poor people around the world with American Farmers food.

I welcome them. I’ve been binge reading a lot of info about our current politics and the role of billionaires in underwriting the Republican Party. It would be nice to shift more into this territory.

This is because a properly operating political party in power should have an effective internal gatekeeper mechanism that keeps the kooks out of power. The democrats have that. The Republican one got systemically overrun by billionaires who funded the tea party.

Call to all republicans to burn your degrees! Contact your colleges and tell them you want your student record destroyed! Don’t be a college educated elite any longer. If you don’t post video it didn’t happen.

Why shouldn’t I consider this an act of war against the United States?

Our system is designed to bankrupt people. Medicaid will continue to go up for decades and boomers run out of money. This will become a gigantic burden on the middle class.

This bill is billionaires stealing the meager safety net our government provides for themselves.

Yes, the initial wealth of these individuals is due to their inventiveness and they should profit from that. But all of these people also executed deeply anticompetitive activities, in business and politics. Anticompetitiveness is core to their wealth story and it is a market failure.
