malloc/free? what kind of trickery is that? what if you forget a corresponding free? seems too dangerous to me. Imagine if all our technology was build on that idea, LOL. Seriously, don’t promote bad practices. Using braces it’s safer because the compiler will tell you if you forgot one.

The reason the #C #programming language doesn’t require any kind of automatic memory management is because it uses braces: { and }
Once code is surrounded with braces, it’s protected from memory leaks.
If you ever find a #memory #leak, it means you are not using enough braces around your code.

I stopped and didn’t finish FF7 Remake because of the Hell House boss fight. For me is that I don’t have time to be perfecting every move and being punished for the slightest mistake.

I’m not saying #Mastodon is bad, it maybe even be attractive for us nerds but it just has too much friction for regular users.

I’ve used both, #Mastodon and now #Bluesky. Bluesky is user friendly, users just go to a website or download an app and create an account, which is a workflow that regular users already know very well, very low friction. Mastodon is like asking regular users to install Linux on their PCs.
