A New Home
We fled from London and crossed the sea to reach the frozen north.
On the way our convoy was hit by a blizzard and scattered.
A handful of us managed to reach the site of this Generator, only to find it frozen solid and abandoned. Why is no one here? Did any of our people survive the blizzard? Are there any others out there?
Whatever we do, we should expect the worst now that the world as we know it has crumbled.

Wow. A really unfortunate turn for the startup

Great work, your first real feature! Have you noticed the smiley in top the left corner of the features tab? This is indicating how satisfied your users are.
Currently they are not too happy because your new feature is too low level.
Keeping satisfaction high is very important. If it becomes low, users will start to abandon your website.
Increase your website's satisfaction by increasing your new feature's level.
You will need to hire a Lead Developer in order to create the required modules.

You are not! The very big question for the open internet is whether that something can be collective or automated

18.07.2025 21:27 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 3    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

> Although on here it would likely just be boner guys. ๐Ÿ˜‰

That's actually a pretty crucial impediment to the open Internet - not that such a thing can happen, of course, but that it happens when it's not the goal of what you're building

18.07.2025 21:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

18.07.2025 21:22 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 19    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 3    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

For sure. What you're describing is also transferrable to many different frameworks!

I don't think commercialism is evil, it's just not always accessible, and it does at times run counter to a group's stated goal

18.07.2025 21:22 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

How we design the protocols is deeply connected to the laws of physics (computational needs) and to the real world (organizational capacity) but they're still collectively accepted, and as long as computational power is widely available then democratic protocols are possible

18.07.2025 21:20 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 10    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Well, I'd argue the Internet is a society of computers. Protocols are the shared rules of expected behavior. Because connectivity is semi-universal, the only natural law of this society -- the only rule you can enforce without protocol -- is through the possession of secrets. Cryptography.
