My partner just reminded me about Nemik’s incredible manifesto in Andor Season 1.
If you get tired of the fight, remember this.

Watched Carry-on the latest Netflix thriller. The writing is average but the film is elevated by some bonkers action sequences and brisk direction: #filmsky boxd.it/85OQjX
It's Hitchcock for the holidays . Inspired by Walter Chaw I started by watching one of the few I haven't seen, one of his silents, Downhill. Very well directed with an average story. Letterboxd comment: boxd.it/7Z1m0p
Very heartened by the love for Lifeboat. It may be Hitch's most underrated film. Same applies to Foreign Correspondent to a slightly lesser extent.
Just listened to this, disagree with some choices but great discussions, in particular around Vertigo's shock nom. I do think Walter's anecdote about James Ellroy on Vertigo is actually a testament to the films power and how well made it is.
On Twitter in one of my threads someone just said "Threads had 30M signups in one day, Bluesky has lost its chance to become the next Twitter" and he may be right, but what he doesn't know is that people here are like "cool, dodged THAT bullet"
