And that’s not to mention someone from our group managed to accidentally walk into a restricted area, and no one ID’d her or asked her any questions. She walked in with no one stopping her, and left with not a single eyebrow raised.

Again, I enjoyed the con, but things could’ve been so much worse.

However, I was able to walking through with my phone in my pocket (which isn’t small!) and never got stopped. There was a third pocket in my bag that was never checked, & the side pockets were ignored entirely. My big wallet was only checked once.

Weapons could’ve been absurdly easy to sneak inside

Twitchcon was a ton of fun, and I’m so happy I went.

That being said, yes the security was abhorrent. They never checked pockets, checked the bare minimum of my bag, and never metal detected anyone unless their scanners picked up a mass on your person.

Update I have found my mother’s unused iPad and have airdropped a number of small videos that total up to 7 hours and while it’s not made an impactful dent in my storage usage it WILL get me through the week and until I can upgrade my new phone so YIPPEEEEE

I’ve had a new phone upgrade for weeks now but the phone itself only has 256gb so I can’t even transfer everything and trade in my old phone

And I’m going to Twitchcon this weekend

I am FIGHTING every single day for the slightest bit of storage, and I need to download the Uber app 🫠

My phone is running out of storage (1tb)

I upgrade my iCloud storage to 2tb and try to upload my shit
- iCloud “doesn’t have enough storage” (it does)

I try to move everything onto my computer
- folders don’t show up/disappear

I try Google Drive
- “Can’t Upload”

Try MEGA
- “Can’t Upload”
