Over the past three months the BLS shows manufacturing employment down by 37,000 jobs. Business and professional services down over 100,000 during that period.

The Employment situation is very bad. Since the beginning of the year employment in the US is down by over 700,000 jobs. The reason the unemployment rate has not soared is that the workforce has also shrunk. Absence the tariff lunacy the FED would be lowering rates now.
