Abalone tastes very similar to squid to me! So if you had squid before you can already tell the texture and taste π itβs indeed very hard to find a live one if you donβt live in those regions.
Itβs not the typical snails since itβs more similar to oyster, clams..so youβre not wrong either π I just call them shellfish
