nov-dec 2020 was wild. From us supporting melee when big house got forced to cancel because of nintendo, leading to #freemelee in nintendo's own splatoon tourney, which turned into us hosting our own finals which got 23K prize pool and the meelee community tuned in.

Here games have been seen as too highly priced when they're 800kr+, 1000kr games usually are FIFA bundles. 1099kr is insanity.

Maybe hot take but I do not want a Splatoon 4 for at least another 2 years. 3 right now feels so close to being the peak of the series and I'm really hoping if anything is shown tomorrow (I dont think there will be), that it's an content extension.

My #1 hope for map design in S4 is maps are no longer designed for every single mode, we do not need 100+ map mode combos we need 30-50 higher quality combos. I'd gladly take 10-15 stages for every mode if it means the maps could be built around that experience.

Playing marvel rivals made me realize how much I missed prime overwatch and the 6v6 game format in general

[3/3] Scrims and tournaments on the other hand are a lot of fun, which is what's getting me to play the game. SoloQ has always had a terrible reputation of having an imbalance of player skill, but the special cheese the devs have been implementing has made the situation so much worse.

[2/3] It doesn't make the game unplayable, but it definitely makes it miserable to play. Even if my win rate is at like 70% I will still feel miserable at playing because in those games there is no joy or feelings of equal competition, it's either stomp or get stomped by the cheesiest stuff.

[1/3🧵] SoloQ splatoon (series/open/X) has felt so bad ever since they began making reefslider cheesy. After that most, if not all the games I play are either based off spamming specials and subs or hardcarrying my team against 3 shitters and another good player.

Can't wait to get out of silver if I'm even able to 😭
