21.10.2025 22:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0When he is gone, I hope they turn the ballroom into a permanent Smithsonian exhibit detailing our history of how we got here, featuring all the bad actors and, hopefully, how we clawed our way back so it will never happen again. Perfect place for his official portrait to be on display.
20.10.2025 23:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No Kings poster spelling out Epsteinβs name crossed with - pedophile, fascist, tyrant, felon, racist, No Kings. Text fits inside Trumpβs birthday card he drew for Epstein
My poster for #NoKings where about 1000 folks showed up in Saranac Lake, NY. Not bad for a town if 5000!
18.10.2025 21:17 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@chrismurphyct.bsky.social Iβve heard mention that swearing in a new member by the Leader is a formality and that any state or federal judge can swear her in. Is this true and if so, why not do that?
14.10.2025 13:59 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0lol. I needed that laugh right now π€
09.10.2025 13:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The ride was fine. Finding a place to park was quite problematic. Came up from Tacoma for the Sounders game and tried Angle Lake (a little before 5pm) and garage was packed with a continuous line of cars looking for a spot. Had to drive to Tukwila and found one open spot in the lot π

15.09.2025 02:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why is it important? Because the other kids not at the cool table (who donβt blindly worship them, ahem) will be watching and the door will suddenly be cracked open to everyone being a part of the community in spite of our differences. Itβs really that simple. And for some reason it pisses you off.
06.09.2025 19:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Here. Iβll simplify. I think it would be an amazing gesture if one of the kids sitting at the βcoolβ table, went and welcomed the new kid instead of being afraid that if they did so, then the new kid might be more cool thereby diminishing their collective coolness.
06.09.2025 19:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm also not going to determine what I will or will not say based on a fellow posterβs shortsightedness of the value of the Democratic Party showing unity across all roles and offices, whether they are βin lineβ or not. The message is so freaking basic.
06.09.2025 19:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And it clearly bothers you that I responded to his hypocrisy (we deserve better) when someone who lives, works and hopefully leads in his greater community is offering something better on a silver platter. And now you seem to imply I donβt have the right to speak my mind on someoneβs public page.
06.09.2025 19:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You donβt need me. You need books. Iβd suggest starting with Joyce Vanceβs βGiving Up is Unforgivableβ and Heather Cox Richardsonβs βDemocracy Awakeningβ Both authors are historians and have expert knowledge on our govt, the law and how we got here.
06.09.2025 18:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This kind of petty name calling is worthy of Twitter. You donβt understand our history if you think Dems are blameless. There were actions they could have taken but for βdecorumβsβ sake they shared their outrage instead and did nothing. I choose to learn from history, not lay back and play victim.
06.09.2025 18:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wellβ¦if thatβs your translation of what Iβve said, then that explains a lot about why we are getting nowhere in this convo. A bizarre reply at best.
06.09.2025 10:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0They let the repubs control the narrative. They didnβt plan ahead and relied too much on decorum which never works with bullies. Seriously, if you arenβt able to take a critical look at the mistakes made by the dems, then you are a part of the problem. Self reflection and evaluation is healthy.
06.09.2025 01:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm just not a little yes man soldier democrat. The idea that we canβt disagree with the party - when all this happened on their watch over the past 40 years is a part of the problem. Why not vote/work towards something better within our own party? Why are you so convinced that we donβt need change?
05.09.2025 23:59 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Jeffries said βweβ and I followed up in kind.
With that attitude youβre right. Nothing will change at all. I do believe that we deserve better than what Jeffries and Schumer et all are providing. Change has to begin somewhere. Why not NYC? I do count. I matter. Iβm sorry you think that you donβt.
A democratic socialist as a successful mayor of NYC will absolutely impact the country. Thatβs a major step in a new direction that could energize the Democratic Party nationally.
05.09.2025 22:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Noooo. Reallllly???? I had no idea! π
05.09.2025 22:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Do I need to be from NYC to be excited about a popular social Democrat mayoral hopeful? Do you really think that his success in NYC couldnβt be a flashpoint for change upstate where I live or anywhere else in the country?
05.09.2025 22:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs not a demand. Itβs how people in a healthy community interact with one another.
05.09.2025 21:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have no idea what you are talking about any more. Bottom line-I thought Jeffries was a part of the new wave of younger, stronger democrats. I was super excited about him. Then he toed the party line. Iβm disappointed. Expected more. He could give a big thumbs up to Mamdani and change the optics.
05.09.2025 21:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0He is if he wants to be a part of creating real, positive change for this country.
05.09.2025 21:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes. Letβs all stay in our lanes and do nothing different. Are you telling me he canβt reach across our very own aisle to support a promising candidate for NYC Mayor? Would it hurt or something? Are you scared to think of all democrats embracing each other openly in spite of their differences?
05.09.2025 20:52 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0How about he does it FOR Mamdani and his constituents? I know, selfless, right? The oleβ it takes a village and all. The more democrats that step up and support Mamdani, the stronger we will be as a party. We need to be a community nationally, not just in our own little worlds.
05.09.2025 20:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm not talking about Adamβs. Nor is Adamβs a democratic socialist who has shown that his methods are wildly popular with Jeffries constituents. But your defense speaks for itself - how dare Jeffries step out of line and dare to support a candidate for which he has no leadership involvement?
05.09.2025 20:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nothing for Falcon?
05.09.2025 20:32 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Donβt be so narrow minded. I can be hopeful for the people of NYC, and for the hope Mamdani and NYC can bring to the country without living there. Itβs really not that hard to understand if you poke your head out of your little bubble. Maybe you can even figure out who really is a bot or not lol
05.09.2025 20:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No shit Sherlock. The issue with Jeffries not endorsing Mamdani is a systemic issue with democrats. But sure. Keep voting for the same people. Maybe you are comfortable with their verbal outrage and no action. Iβm not. Watching whatβs happening with Mamdani gives me hope for the country.
