At this point I'm not gonna read a book advertised as 'sapphic' anymore unless the author literally identifies as a man-hating dyke.

Luka and Lethe: Finally, because I think this needs to be mentioned if you're reading the 'complete' version of Fable- there is a F/M full-fledged sex scene. For one, I don't read a ton of YA but holy shit that felt like that was a little bit too descriptive for the target audience? I don't know what the standard is for how a book is labeled YA or adult, I always assumed if it had an on page sex scene that made it an adult book, I've never seen otherwise- but maybe I have a poor understanding of the rating difference. Honestly for this book, I'd prefer no sex scenes at all- all these people are teenagers in shitty traumatizing abusive nonadvantageous situations- I don't want to hear about the sex they're having. The F/F scene at least made it an insinuation- a cut away if you will- they were kissing and then cut to they're waking up naked in bed... however it made me realize if they'd been given the same descriptiveness as the F/M scene- this book would 100% be published as an adult book (I think). The F/M romance despite being 50 pages long total felt more real even if it was the same amount of rushed which was unfortunate since the book is marketed as lesbian- Lethe and Luka just had better chemistry for whatever reason which highlighted the lack of chemistry between the two MCs.
