OF COURSE the treatment for Layla’s suspected diagnosis (Cushings) is basically not available in the country at the moment because of legal issues with the SA health authority. Just absolutely wonderful. This diagnosis is scary enough without knowing I can’t get meds for her 💔

Thank you! I mean logically I knew I wasn’t in any actual trouble but the overthinker/RSD in me was like “omg we just got shouted at” as if that’s what happened 😅

My boss didn’t see my message asking to work from home today to keep an eye on Layla so I went into the office. He just saw it and came rushing into the office to tell me to go home and asking why I didn’t call. On my way home, but can someone tell my silly brain I am not in trouble?🙃

Realised I didn’t take my adhd meds after leaving for work (and too late to go back)… attempting to be productive today is going to be fun especially with the stress of Layla also distracting me 😅
(Note to self: put some backup meds in the car)

I’m so damn grateful to have such a brilliant kind vet in our court, but her being so worried has me panicky 😩

My dog who’s my everything isn’t well and even my vet who is brilliant and level headed admitted she is panicky. Something is very wrong and we don’t know what. Safe to say I’ll be a wreck for the foreseeable future until we figure this out 😩

Anyway even though it was positive in the end, my social battery is exhausted, social anxiety is so damn real and talking about myself is no fun at all 🙃 then we went for a 1.7km walk around the neighbourhood before we went back to our desks (yes, in our work clothes in the heat of summer) 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Tried to explain I’m a fan of Taylor (Swiftie definitely isn’t in her vocab) and then spoke about football and she thought I said MY boyfriend plays football and asked if we do long distance 💀 (I am chronically single and am more likely to have a girlfriend if anything 😂)

One of my higher ups at work came to my desk and asked if I want to take a break and go sit outside with her. I ran through every reason why I could be in trouble in my third week in the 20 seconds it took to walk outside. Turns out she just wanted to know more about me, my hobbies etc 😅
