The average voter has no
idea who is on our federal bench… which has shrunk each cycle and will be lucky to not disappear entirely this time around.

New Democrats need a new federal leader The electoral window of opportunity is now, and under Jagmeet Singh, the party is failing to capitalize.

Please make it so. I grew up in Manitoba moving from Prince George to Winnipeg, Swan River, Bissett, Manitou and Flin Flon. Now living in Ontario. Hearing and seeing what Wab Kinew is doing and achieving makes be very proud of the province I grew up in.

Abso-fucking-lutely! Finally someone is saying it.

I am all for Wab Kinew taking over the federal NDP. It would be a huge loss for Manitobans, but in my brief dealings with him, he sincerely cares about the people and was quick to respond to my emails with very clear and useful advice. He’d have my vote in a heartbeat.

Both are great options for a pinch hit. Not sure Notley speaks French at all though.

Well, if they won and he became PM, someone else from the talented bench on Manitoba’s NDP MLAs. And they would have no better federal partner than in a newly elected PM Kinew!

And the NDP didn’t win, he would still be able to continue as premier.

The NDP could have the selection process be a true competition rather than a coronation. Other provincial leaders (Notley? maybe Eby even?) could enter the ring and make a similar case too. I truly believe Wab would make a clean sweep of any contest though.

No time for the NDP to do this, why? The Liberals are doing a leadership race right this moment. There's no logistical reason why the NDP couldn't as well.
