One of my favorite parts of winter and spring is finding critter tracks in the snow or mud. Our yard has high traffic from opossums, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, groundhogs, and the occasional skunk.

He-Man is over there being a superhuman by the power of Grayskull. Meanwhile I'm over here barely resembling a human by the power of DayQuil. Winter virus season has finally struck my house.

Day 8

You're a brave soul to tackle the 100 Baby Challenge! A household full of toddlers was enough to overwhelm me away from that challenge and return to casual play.

I absolutely love Part 1 of WICKED. The film does a beautiful job of blending the book and the Broadway version into another form of media.

Day 7

Once the half hour writing sprint is done, I can go back and clean up what I wrote. But for 30 minutes, the whole goal is to put words on the page and give myself something to work with. The visual cue of the moving sand has been a great motivation for me.

My husband bought me this hourglass (technically a half-hour glass) years ago at Barnes & Noble, and it's my favorite writing tool. I turn the glass over and for the 30 minutes the sand is falling, I write nonstop. No pauses to check facts or spelling or synonyms.
