This Kodak DCS 560 is from before the DPReview website. From before a time when Canon and Nikon made DSLRs of their own. Amazingly, it still works, and perhaps even more amazingly, I managed to get two of the original batteries to work. It has been a fun project researching this and playing with this 6mp beast that cost $55,000 adjusted for inflation. I picked up this Kodak DCS 560 (from 1998) last week. It looked like it might not work, but I managed to get it working with a power adapter from my other Kodak and some of the batteries charged ok too. It was difficult to get photos of squirrels with this, but I had fun trying 🙂

Enjoying shooting with the Sony A390, a DSLR from 2010. I'd assumed the nicer colours were from CCD sensor tech, but I'm being told it was the colour filter array and it's just a coincidence that these were changed around the same time that CCD sensors stopped being used 🤔.
