People will fight me on this but it’s not very romantic. Traditionally at least, which is why it’s so sexual. It’s yearning. It’s about being queer in a more masculine sports world. Episodes 1&2 don’t grab you.
3 is a bizarre turn and then you wish that will continue but it doesn’t.
Then episodes 4, 5, and 6 are brilliant and moved me more than any tv show in ages. Acting A+! On the rewatch you see how so much of 1&2 set up the rest and the use of music, light, framing is 🔥!
