Now we’re heading into the derby without our three best players (and first choice captains). Don’t win that and we’re looking at being third come next Sunday because I don’t see anything other than a defeat at Ibrox.

I’ve, admittedly, been very reactionary to all defeats we’ve had this season but tonight felt like a proper momentum swinger.

Forrest isn’t great but an actual winger that has played it for his whole career; Spittal has shown he can be useful on the left to link with an overlapping full back. But got to get McEntee in because he’s big and athletic, forget if he can actually do the job and how it affects the whole team.

Think the squad’s more balanced after summer; any chance of seeing that on a matchday? Left back at right mid with a winger on the bench as we’re trying to protect the least technically sound player in the team (an all-action midfielder) playing at right back with the actual right back on the bench.
