That's awesome you came up with your own algorithm. Has it helped with defining your pipeline art wise? I usually use my vertical slice as the initial path towards how to make future art assets knowing the limitations of the software (or my capabilities haha).
Programming is how new game feels emerge, unfortunately it's impossible to advertise that via gifs or a video, players have to sit down and play it.
The very nature of backend is cursed. If done right, no one thinks about it. If done poorly it's very noticable.

It just seems constant now adays. I don't use Adobe Animate for any personal projects anymore, but it's just another in a long line of software (like Unity) that can pull the rug right under you.
