Barry is like an Island up top for Everton

Most of the distance covered by the Everton players tonight is them running to the ref to complain.

Everton player going down with cramp. In fairness they did only play six days ago.

Funny how Gabriel is as strong as an ox when he’s blocking keepers etc but a touch on the back when he has to defend and he’s on the floor.

Was so happy when we signed him.

Presume the team tomorrow will look something like

Mamardashvili, Frimpong, Leoni, Gomez, Robbo, Nyoni, Endo, Jones, Rio, Isak, Chiesa.

Made life difficult for ourselves in the second half with our poor passing but got there in the end. And at least we didn’t have chase a goal this time! Beers tonight to celebrate.

Huge 3 points there on a big weekend. Just couldn’t keep the ball second half. Not sure if it was nerves or tiredness or something else. Everton is always a tough game though, so any win is beautiful. 5 out of 5 will do #LFC

What a wonderful finish from Gravenberch.

The second half of Juve v Dortmund was wild.

Wasn’t great but credit to the boys that they kept on going. And why wouldn’t they, with our record for late late winners. 12 from 12. Up the reds.

Phew. Get in. Never in doubt 😂

Fair enough. Opinions and all. From a purely defensive perspective, I would probably pick players like Timber/Trippier/Aina over James.

If you’re playing qualifiers against low block teams, then TAA has the creativity you need/want. If you’re up against a WC team and WC winger, you could argue both TAA and James not best suited.

Maybe agree with the more well-rounded description but then I’d say that he doesn’t have any outstanding aspects to his game that TAA has in his locker. When you factor in fitness/availability, I just don’t see the case for going with James.

Obviously there is the Chelsea connection but don’t understand how Tuchel picks Reece James over Trent.

Hopefully Isak gets 10/15 mins off the bench for Sweden

As we found with Trent, no-one’s arsed except the fans.

Never known a summer where so many transfers were dependent on a replacement being signed. Must be a new tactic for selling clubs.

Great news about Alexander Isak.

Honestly, 9 points from 9 out of those 3 fixtures while bedding in two new fullbacks in our back four, a new No10 & No9…

Absolutely immense start. Cannot stress that enough!
