I share the late Tony Campolo’s reservations when the family of a survivor of a disaster thank God for his protection while another praying family bury their child. But I have also walked away unharmed from a bad car crash (car ended upside down and I had no seat belt) as did my fellow passengers!

With our striker Zak Rudden injured Barney Stewart joined #pars on loan from Falkirk - giving rise to considerable online banter as Falkirk are our arch rivals. He came on against Partick Thistle and again as a substitute last Saturday against Queen’s Park. Wishing him well at Dunfermline.

Many churches in Malta have two clocks showing the correct time and the other a deliberately wrong time. This is allegedly to confuse the devil as to the time of the mass so he can not come and disrupt the service!

Watching Connor being baptised on Sunday and taking the vows of church membership to commit a fitting proportion of his time, talents and money to service. A fitting proportion recognises that at different points in your life you may have more of one than the others to offer in service.

Great service this morning at Dunfermline East Church as one of our young men Connor was baptised. He shared his story of how he had come to faith and what it meant to him. Then the applause of the congregation as he came up out of the water. Welcomed by leadership, friends and all the youth group.
