It pains me to say, but the Naked Gun remake was hilarious and probably some of the better slapstick Hollywood has put out in a while (not that there’s much competition).

When I scoffed at the preview, @natefederman.bsky.social said his buddy worked on it so it will probably be good. He was right.

There is a fine line between making shows an escape from reality and fostering a scene willfully oblivious to reality.

Ahh, Warrant. One of the last bands of the era to have massive success before Nirvana and Guns evicerated the genre.

Jani Lane had a hell of a set of pipes, too. At least until he drank himself to death in a Comfort Inn.

Whitesnake is one of the few bands big in this era who were both fantastic at “hair pop” and a legit great hard rock band.

Most of their albums up through their 1987 self-titled are still a decent listen, even today.

Also, RIP Tawney Kitaen who might as well have been an honorary band member.

By 1989, Hair Bands were being grown in labs, and some were just remarkably bad. This was one. However, I still owned the album (on cassette) and played the fuck out of this song. I’m not proud.

Damn. That’s some stat flexing! 1976 KISS had to be insane.

Very few hair bands aged well. But I’m not sure any aged worse than Bon Jovi.

A few hits still…umm…slap as the kids say. But the majority is so terrible, you can’t even like it for shits and giggles.

I’ve said this before and will say it again. KISS at Balls Arena in 2019 was the second best show I saw all year.

Walked in with zero expectations outside of laughing a lot. Could not believe the energy, crowd, antics, production. Bummed they retired for like the 40th time.

The Olympics have been all downhill since the Battle of the Brians.

Our car insurance shot up an unreasonable amount. Progressive emailed asking me to call them to do a policy review and confirm I’m getting all the discounts and loyalty rewards I’m eligible for.

I spent 20 minutes with an agent to have my premium go up $50. No backsies.

Yup. The Outback needed $10K of work so far (2022 with 36K) do we got out while we could before the warranty was up. Went Hyundai Tucson hybrid and love it so far.
