I've been working on this graphic for a while now - Originally I was going to divide it into three screens that the player would never see all in one go but I've kind of fallen in love with seeing the whole thing zoomed out... Can't think of how to present it. (I might opt for both?)

Rosa is a bit of a nightmare to draw but I think I'm finally getting somewhere.

Good news : I've made a robust and interesting gift system.

Bad news : You can currently only have bananas.

I'm listening to this without knowing either song and thinking "Hey, this is good." which I guess is the mark of a successful mashup.

(Ps. Working on a gift/dating system has made me pretty excited recently.)

So anyway, I'm very conscious of the fact that I have a long list of feedback issues I haven't had time to address - I make a point of addressing every single one although it does require time and focus. I've taken the game down for now and will reupload when I've dealt with the listssssss.

I've been pretty miserably sick over the last sevenish weeks. (In total I needed 24 days of antibiotics, which I think is a record for me.). On top of that, it's been the summer holidays here in Hong Kong and I've had my two adorable boys with me this whole time.

You can go clothes shopping in Noir! I'm going to do missable dialogue for whether the player shaves their head in a desperate attempt to relate to the cynical clerk here.

I'm also teaching "A streetcar named Desire" and another book about a man dying slowly of lung cancer. From a self-centred angle, I do feel myself truly triggered by bouncing between these texts. The weight of human emotion and suffering is personally exhausting.

I've been teaching Yoko Ogawa's Revenge to a student. It's honestly one of the best books I've read in years but I feel as if a line of sorts has been crossed in getting kids (Teens) to read it in terms of the nihlism, fatalism, and dread it conveys.

I'm also in HK but I'm a vegetarian. It's quite common to enter a restaurant and read an entire menu before realizing there's literally no viable choice. Even the veggie stuff is fried in pork fat sometimes.

If I could get Matt to voice all characters, hum the background music and sound effects, I would.

Bit of refining on him today. Feel like I've learned a lot this week. (I'm not an artist, I'm an English teacher.)

I've been waking up 5:00am on the dot and drawing for 2 hours before my family wakes up. I can barely see the screen. I'm just going to go with it and hope it works out because that's what my brain seems to have decided.

Inspired by my dad. Hoping I don't inspire my kids in a similar fashion.
