As a queer, Jewitch myself… I created my own safe place: my Discord.

Other than that, I am involved in my local politics and what I’ll call.. defense groups. I stay educated on what’s happening…

OMG YES! I am currently starting my engagement with Jung’s work. Dreams are so important, and something I have not invested enough time into either!

8. What does real safety look like in spiritual spaces?

For example, in public ritual:
- An agenda of what’s going to happen
- Explanations of why we’re doing what we’re doing
- Allowing space for questions before beginning without ridicule
- Explain social expectations (i.e: directions to walk)

7. If you became lightning, what in your life would you strike first?

Language! I work with Messengers in my practice.

I feel called to communicate & connect. I wish I could do it better & in more languages. Particularly familial languages that were lost to me: Hebrew, German, Russian, & Italian.

6. How do you define strength in a witch?

- Acknowledgement of mistakes/misteps. As a White person, I have appropriated other cultures instead of appreciated in the past due to ignorance.

When I learned better, I did better.

- Wrestling with faith. This is informed by my Judaism. This is critical

5. What does spiritual responsibility look like in your practice?

I always start with my ancestry, using bloodroots as the foundation of magic. From there, I follow intuition.

I am constantly learning (be it from books, podcasts, or y’all) about other cultures to grow appreciation + awareness.

4. What part of yourself are you reclaiming this year, and how does that benefit your community?

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS. I can’t say anything yet, but I have so many things brewing!

I am using the astrology of this year to be who I was always meant to be.

This is a year of unlimited potential.

3. Where have you mistaken neutrality for wisdom?

I have friends who question the idea of “silence is violence” or “is complicity”.

I want to give people the benefit of the doubt, and try to be understanding of their POV…

But in this climate, we must speak and stand up. Progress isn’t promised.

2. Who does your magic protect beyond yourself?

The Stranger in a Strange Land.

The Pariah. The Outcast. The Refugee. The Oppressed.

My Judaism informs me that the Transgressor of Hatred, Pain, and Injustice must get what they deserve.

I will use my voice and hit the streets until that happens.

1. What does being a witch require of you in today’s political climate?

It’s so hard. You have to be aware- to know what’s going on, but balance that with protecting and caring for yourself. You can traumatize yourself!

I take internet breaks and have been investing time into my Craft/crafts.
