Can someone explain to me what this obsession is with us suddenly needing to know where every tax dollar is spent? Isn’t this why we elect people? So they can do it? Also, plot twist: the majority of our tax dollars goes to the military.

Thank you for this explanation. I don’t think the general public understands the impact of this. This will cripple research at many universities and lead to the loss of jobs.

But aren’t interviews edited all the time? For consistency, for time, etc. I’m genuinely confused why the FCC was involved at all in this. Many people ramble on in interviews and it’s boring.

I’m curious as to why 60 minutes editing Kamala Harris’ interview is scandalous. Interviews are edited all the time.
